U.S.-China Rift Worries World Leaders at the United Nations

World leaders sounded alarms Tuesday about the widening rift between the U.S. and China, warning that a lack of cooperation could worsen the coronavirus pandemic, sluggish a world economic restoration or even direct to outright conflict.

“We must do every thing to steer clear of a new Chilly War,” United Nations Secretary-Standard António Guterres reported in opening the once-a-year U.N. Standard Assembly conference in New York. “A technological and economic divide hazards inevitably turning into a geostrategic and army divide.”
