Coach bosses warn 27,000 jobs at risk this winter

CPT coverage main Alison Edwards claimed: “Allowing the coach travel sector to collapse would be a dereliction of duty from the Government. The sector is vital to continued expansion of Uk tourism by ensuring that hundreds of thousands of people today can visit points of interest across the Uk each 12 months.

“Without guidance for coach travel we are jeopardizing not just the long term of the sector but positions across the tourism marketplace as people today battle to travel to days out.”

Kurt Janson, a director of the Tourism Alliance included: “Coach operators are a significant and vital ingredient of the UK’s world-class tourism marketplace.

“Regardless of whether it be taking abroad people on tour, students on instructional journeys, transferring conference delegates, bringing sporting activities followers to game titles or offering working day journeys for people today to visit points of interest or see a West Conclusion present, they deliver profits and positions to each vacation spot they visit.”
